Band Biographies :
Bud Beadlle Sax & Flute. Began his career with the Geno Washington and Georgie Fame bands. His gigantic credits include: the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Freddie King, George Benson, R.Kelly, Ginger Bakers Airforce, Status Quo, Alexander O’Neil, Detroit Spinners, Phil Collins, Elvin Jones and Art Blakey. Bud has been part of Storeyband since the early days and featured on many of Michael’s film scores.
Kuma Harada Bass. Started as a child star of a hit T.V. show in Japan and later toured with B.B. King. Among countless sessions and tours he worked with Van Morrison, Chris Rea, Desmond Decker, Ian Dury,
Peter Green, Ronnie Wood, Kate Bush and Buddy Guy. Kuma’s fretless bass was the sound of the Polar Bear in one of Michael’s wildlife film scores.
Winston Delandro. Guitar. Brought his Caribbean spirit to London in the early 1970’s. A selection of his enormous credits are: Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Johnny Nash, Bob Marley, Jimmy Ruffin, Billy Ocean, Steve Winwood, Boney M and Mica Paris. He has worked with Michael from the beginning and the band backed Joan Armatrading on her world wide hit E.P. Rosie.
James Lascelles. Multi Instrumentalist. His first lessons were with the composer John Taverner. He then worked as a keyboard/percussionist virtuoso with a great number of artists including Frank Zappa, Joan Armatrading, Lee Scratch Perry, the Wailers, Junior Marvin, Global Village Trucking Company and Steve Harley’s Cockney Rebel. He formed the legendary jazz rock festival band Cuckoo with Michael in the 70’s
