Pianist, Vocalist and Harmonica player, Michael Storey has developed a unique emotive style. Performing his own compositions and interpreting classic songs, his attention is focused on melody and rhythm to create a feeling of space and emotion.

A chorister at Wells Cathedral school he then attended the Central Drama School before joining the vibrant blues beat groups scene of 60's London.
He later toured  with bands -  among them Donovan’s Open Road and  performed in Europe with Blinky Davidson's 'Every Which Way'.  He also played on many studio recordings - including sessions with Pete Townsend Joan Armatrading and Bob Marley's guitarist Junior Marvin.

Michael released two singer-songwriter albums on the MAM label in the 70’s, and an album with the legendary festival band ‘Cuckoo’. He has established an international reputation for his film scores, winning an Ivor Novello award and also nominated for two Baftas.

He has produced 21 Albums in a busy career including a solo piano of Nocturnes, a live Jazz funk album ‘StoreyBand’ recorded at Soul 11 Soul studio, a Trip Hop album ‘Storey Blue’ released with great success in Japan, and has been performing regularly at live venues both solo and with his fantastic band of virtuoso musicians - friends who love to jam together.
Michael has perfected the art of playing one hand piano and one hand harmonica displayed with great effect by
the Live albums ‘Left hand Keys right hand Harp’ and ‘An April Afternoon’ ... unique collections of original compositions. ‘Down our river of desire’ is a beautiful jazz album recorded with world famous sax player Bud Beadle and a full studio production 'Partner in Crime'.
